This Swiss Electric Bike Will Blow You Away

on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 2:58 PM

If you have time for nothing else today, watch this insane video of this near flawless electric bike – Zerotracer – designed by DesignWerk in Switzerland.

The bike can ride 450km on a single charge and has a top speed of 155 mph. It’s zero-to-100km (60mi) acceleration in 4.5 seconds, so it beat some of the fastest gas powered bikes out there.

The bike will soon be traveling around the world in 80 days entirely on renewable energy as part of the worldwide race organized by SolarTaxi veteran, Louis Palmer. If this incredible journey is successful, we would have made some huge headway with EV technology.
